What happened to my Ops?

So you used to be an op did you?  Bet your wondering what happened? 

Well let me tell you what might have happened.

To be an op means that you have to 
    1) Be in the channel
    2) Be Active in the channel
Not a lot to ask right? I mean, why do you need ops if your not even going to be in the channel.  Here is what happens when the items listed above are not quite followed....
Lets say you are never in the channel, this is what would happen to you.

    1) If you access is less than 400 and your not in the channel for one (1) month your access will be decreased by 50 for each week you are not in the channel

    2) If your access is greater than 400 and your not in the channel for two (2) months with out any form of contact your access will be decreased by 50 for each month you are not in the channel

Now what kind of person would I be if I said that was it! all deals are off, this is final, really... here is what you have to do.  I will give you back all that you have lost if you can give me one reason why you were out so long.  that's all you have to do, just tell me why you were gone.
Lets say you are in the channel but never talk, or only talk a little every week or so.

    1) You will not get an access increase

That is it, so yes, it is possible for someone that is new to the channel and talks all the time to get more access over time than someone that has been in the channel for years and does not talk that much.  Really people, this is a "chat" channel, not a "idle here if you must" channel
